Thank you for visiting our site. We look forward to introducing our services to you. Because we are unique we feel the best way to share is to explain in person. Set up an intake so you can see our passion to help and serve. We have many years of experience with emotional and serious mental illnesses and daily challenges as well. We have private testing for educational, psychological, ADD, ADHD, and other concerns. Most importantly we have the option to explore various avenues if we need to such as in home or at school. We use various habit changing methods that are creative and successful.

Angela Weimar Powell, LPC, MA

Angela Weimar Powell is a Licensed Profession Counselor. She views counseling as an integrated process in which she adapts her style and theoretical orientation to what best suits the client's needs. She believes that all people are unique and therefore not just one theory will work best for all individuals. In 2007, Angela obtained a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Lifespan, Growth, and Human Development from the University of Arizona. She then moved to Denton, Texas, where she graduated with a Masters of Art in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Texas in 2009. Her experience is based in individual, group and family counseling, as well as psychological testing. Angela works with children, teenagers, and adults of all ages in the areas of anxiety, depression, grief, loss, stress, trauma, communication, adjustment disorders, social skills, self-esteem, suicide, and crisis management.

Stacy Griffin, LPC-Intern, M. Ed.

Stacy is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern working toward full counseling licensure in the state of Texas. Her counseling style facilitates one's awareness to determine how thoughts affect both feelings and behaviors. From this understanding one can feel empowered to choose new direction. In 2006, she graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor's in Psychology with a minor in Child Development and Family Studies. Stacy continued her education at the University of North Texas and graduated with a Master's degree in Counseling with a focus on Play Therapy in 2009. Her training and experience allows her to work with all ages regarding depression, Bipolar Disorder, sexual assault, anger prevention and intervention, adjustment disorders, substance abuse, eating disorders, and parenting skills.

Courtney Reinhardt, LPC-Intern, MA

Courtney is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern, working to obtain full licensure as a counselor. Like several of her colleagues, she adapts her style and theoretical orientation based on the individual clients she is serving. Courtney feels that individual differences in people make this eclectic viewpoint to counseling very valuable. In 2003, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences, with a focus in psychology, from the University of North Texas. In 2007, Courtney obtained her Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University, located in Garland, Texas. Courtney's counseling experience is based on individual and group therapy. She has worked with children ranging from age 4-17, as well as with adults. Courtney is looking forward to working with clients from all walks of life, to help them with whatever struggles they are coping with.

Todd Mead

Todd has 20 years of ministry experience working with youth, families, singles and adults. Todd currently serves as a Pastoral Counselor in a local church and also works as a Corporate Chaplain. Working in the local church and also in the corporate world demonstrates Todd's ability to integrate biblical principles with real life hurts and challenges. He uses biblical principles in his counseling but also respects and honors were each individual is at in their personal faith journey. He understands the challenges and dynamics of marriage and family systems and wants to help equip people to experience more joy and fulfillment in these important relationships. Todd is working toward a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling. He has extensive training and experience in grief work, and trained under Dr. Larry Crabb in the area of Spiritual Direction. Todd and his wife Natalie have been married since 1987, they have three children ages 21-17.

Dianne Baskin, M.Ed., LPC

Dianne is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified School Counselor. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Music Education from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas in 1984. After teaching elementary and middle school choral music for 8 years, Dianne returned to school and earned a Masters of Education in Counseling from UNT in 1997. She has been a secondary school counselor both in high school and middle school for 16 years. Dianne also had the joy of working with Upward Bound Math and Science at UNT as the Director of Counseling for 8 summers supervising school counseling interns working with at-risk teens. Her lifetime experience and training makes her well suited to working with adolescents dealing with depression, ADHD, Aspergers and transition as well as helping parents and adolescents learn to recreate positive relationships with one another.
